1 What is a Security Device?

A Security Device is a physical device issued to Authoriser(s) and System Administrators. This device is used to generate a Challenge Response Code for Financial Transactions and Administrative requests.

2 When do I need to input the Challenge Response Code?

Challenge Response Code is needed when an Authoriser wants to approve a transaction or when a System Administrator wants to approve an administrative task.

During Approval, an Authoriser or System Administrator is prompted with a Challenge Number. This Challenge Number must be keyed into the Security Device to generate a Response Number. This Response Number is then keyed into BizChannel@CIMB.

3 How will I receive the Security Device?

The Security Device will be couriered directly to you in the Starter Pack

4 What if my Security Device is lost or damaged?

5 Will my access be locked after a multiple unsuccessful attempts? How can I get it unlocked? What if I forget my PIN?
Yes, after 3 unsuccessful attempts. You can call our Call Centre at 1-300-888-828 for assistance or email to bizchannel@cimb.com.
